Meilahti
In the Meilahti area, construction work is focused on Paciuksenkatu and the intersection area of Tukholmankatu, Topeliuksenkatu, and Mannerheimintie. The works include tram stop and street arrangements, as well as other necessary municipal infrastructure modifications.
Paciuksenkatu
Construction period: 6/2028–8/2028
On Paciuksenkatu, tram stop and street arrangements related to the West Helsinki Light Rail project will be carried out. The existing Meilahdentie tram stop will be removed. The Paciuksenkaari stop will be extended to accommodate light rail vehicles, enabling operation with longer trams than those currently in use. In the future, the Paciuksenkaari bus stop will also serve as a trunk route stop. At the same time, water and sewer network renovation works will be carried out.
The intersection area of Mannerheimintie, Tukholmankatu, and Topeliuksenkatu
Construction period: 6/2029–9/2029
The construction works include the renewal of municipal infrastructure, street and green area construction, as well as the construction of a new tram line. At the same time, traffic arrangements in the area will be improved, and conditions for public transport, walking, and cycling will be enhanced.
